Good Afternoon and welcome to the latest addition of Gaffs Sour Grapevine.

This week we will be previewing Ozone Athletic vs The Groovy Penguins.

Both sides lost last gameweek and both teams on 15pnts. This is surely building up to be a saucy encounter. So lets crack on:

Last time I discussed Fantrax with Mr Pursall I saw genuine concern in his eyes. He has some real selection dilemmas this week. Janmaat is out for another few weeks and Lallana seems unlikely to reach fitness in time for the United game. Pursall is going to be forced to either jump into the FA or play Ivanovic and Pedro, who both seem to be struggling to find a space in Contes Chelsea setup.

A Tony Pulis defensive/gk option always offers opportunities of CS points but West Brom may struggle at home to a high flying Spurs side.

Other than Ivan at the back his other two defenders face each other in a game that seems likely to finish 0-0 (especially with Palace’s recent form).

A Lallana missing midfield is still a mouth-watering sight with Tadic, Townsend, Sanchez & Mirallas all key players for Teams who are in fine form.

Tadic has picked up an outstanding  4 assists and 1 goal (2 games) away on international duty and Pervy will be fancying him continuing this form at home to Burnley.

Townsend has had glimpses of great play for Palace so far this season and with a now goalscoring Benteke in the side should be getting crosses into the big man.

Sanchez faces a poor Swansea team and could do damage but Mirallas may struggle for points away at Man City.

Up top I think he’ll go for a SAS lineup of Sturridge & Slimani. With injuries to Lallana and Wijnaldum I think Klopp will opt to bringing Sturridge (1 goal during intl duty) into the team. Both players face tough matches against Man U and Chelsea but I think they’ll offer more than Vokesy away against a strong Southampton defence

I think the Penguins will go for a 4-5-1 setup with Kelly coming off the bench to replace Batty.

“If I had Stekelenberg I would drop him” – Rich Connolly holding Graeme Terrar back from Maart.

Gooch United unfavoured GK Maarten Stekelenburg will start in goals. Usually a safe pair of hands but will most likely struggle at the Etihad, a clean sheet here would be a right result.

Kelly should come in at the back for Batty who still seems unlikely to start for Chelsea. Palace face a poor West Ham team at Selhurst. I fancy clean sheets for Alder at WBA and  Cook at home to a rather blunt Hull team.

Another exciting midfield here. Mane and Walcott have been on great form with the latter facing a struggling Swansea team. After Fernando’s performance at Spurs I think Gundogan will have cemented a starting berth and Fernandinho should allow him a little bit of freedom to push forward. Dimitri hasn’t reached last seasons levels but always has a goal in him, especially from set pieces. I don’t personally rate Zaha but he’s bound to return 2-3 pnts for the Penguins.

Up top the penguins are a little more short of options. Vardy, Batty and Sakhy and the striking options with the banger Vardy being the only with regular gametime. He may struggle against a strong Chelsea defence but is the best option.

Will Athletic suffer a third defeat in a row? Only time will tell…
